Seeker Music Acquires Jay Sean’s Platinum-Selling Catalog and that of Producer/Collaborator Robert 'Bobby Bass' Larow

Seeker Music , the songwriter-led music rights, publishing, and record company founded by M&G Investments, has acquired the catalogs of platinum-selling British Pop-R&B singer and songwriter Jay Sean, and his longtime collaborator Robert "Bobby Bass" Larow, as well as the publishing catalog of GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum producer and songwriter Cardiak (Carl McCormick).

The first solo artist of South Asian origin to top the Billboard Hot 100 - and the only one to ever hold two simultaneous top-10 singles - Sean's chart-topping titles across the US, UK, Asia, and Eastern Europe include timeless dancefloor classics like "Down" ft. Lil Wayne and "Do You Remember" ft. Sean Paul and Lil Jon (both of which Larow co-wrote and produced), as well as "Ride It," which was reworked by DJ Regard in 2019 and went viral on TikTok, earning platinum certification in the US and 3x platinum certification in the UK. Sean is also known as a pioneer of Punjabi-Pop fusion, a member of the Rishi Rich Project, and collaborator who has worked with the likes of Lil Wayne, Sean Paul, Gucci Mane, Mary J. Blige, Pitbull, Craig David, and more. As a songwriter, Sean has earned a BMI Songwriter Award and, in 2009, he became the only Brit ever signed to Cash Money Records.

As one half of the production team Orange Factory Music (OFM), alongside Jeremy Skaller (who helped discover Sean), Larow's multi-platinum, three-billion+ streamed catalog includes production, writing, and remixing credits on songs by the likes of Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Usher, Shakira, Big Time Rush, and many more, in addition to his work with Sean.

The deals with Jay Sean and Larow touch on two major tenants of Seeker's catalog strategy: their unique focus on enduring modern-day hits, and their accelerated global expansion. Founded by M&G Investments, Seeker's over 15,000+ copyright-strong collection includes tracks like "Tipsy," which Seeker acquired in 2020 with the foresight that it would have future success - in 2024, that was proven with its interpolation on the year's number one hit, Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)." Other major contemporary catalogs in Seeker's collection include Jon Bellion, John Ryan (40+ One Direction songs) and Mozella ("Wrecking Ball"), to name a few. And their wide selection of international catalogs includes that of the platinum-selling band The Wombats, Mark Morrison ("Return Of The Mack"), UK producer-duo Future Cut (Lily Allen), hit songwriters Plested (Lewis Capaldi) and RuthAnne Cunningham ("Slow Hands", "In The Name Of Love") and the signing of #1 Latin hit-songwriter K. Sotomayor, among many more.

And alongside the Sean and Larow deals, Seeker's acquisition of Cardiak's publishing catalog underscores the company's commitment to enduring copyrights in the R&B and Hip-Hop spaces, which earned it a spot on Billboard's annual R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players list. Known for his genre-defining production on hits like H.E.R.'s "Damage" (which earned him two GRAMMY nominations), J. Cole's "Love Yourz," Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR's "With You," PARTYNEXTDOOR & Rihanna's "Believe It," and Rick Ross' "Diced Pineapples," Cardiak's work spans more than a decade of influence. His production and songwriting also includes work on the GRAMMY-winning album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 by Eminem, and Coco Jones' GRAMMY-nominated song "Here We Go (Uh Oh)" off her 2025 debut album.

Seeker CEO, Evan Bogart said: "Seeker only invests in music we genuinely love. Jay Sean's global hits are more than just songs, they've been part of our story, soundtracking our lives for over 15 years. You still hear them everywhere, and they resonate as strongly today. That's the kind of impact we look for. With Robert Larow's incredible songwriting catalog and Cardiak's genre-defining work across hip-hop and R&B, we're bringing together catalogs that have not only topped charts but continue to shape culture in lasting ways. We're grateful for the opportunity to celebrate and champion these legacies, ensuring these timeless songs keep reaching new audiences around the world."

Robert Larow added "Joining the Seeker Music catalog is both an honor and an exciting new chapter. Evan Bogart and the team have built something truly visionary, a company that balances deep creative respect with a sharp, strategic view of where music is headed. Evan's instinct for recognizing not just great songs, but the markets and moments they can thrive in, is what sets Seeker apart. I'm proud to have my work live alongside such legendary catalogs and to be part of a company that's as forward-looking as it is rooted in great music."

And Cardiak said "I'm super hype to announce the sale of my music catalog, a collection that represents years of passion and creativity. Partnering with Seeker marks a new chapter, and I'm excited to see how they will bring this music to new audiences while preserving its essence."

Jay Sean was represented in the deal by Paul Rothenberg and Joe Duthie of Rothenberg, Mohr and Binder, LLP and Josh Klein of TKG Business Management. Robert Larow was represented by Robert A. Falk, Esq. Cardiak was represented by Doug Davis & Grace Davidson for The Davis Firm, PLLC. Seeker Music was represented by its General Counsel Dan Stuart, and by Steve Sessa, Josh Love, and Robyn Sandak of Reed Smith, LLP and Henry Root, Tucker Page, and Dylan Blakely of Counsel, LLP.
