TOKYO - May 15, 2025 - NEXON Co., Ltd. (Nexon) (3659.TO), a global leader in online games, today announced the release of MapleStory N, a blockchain-powered MMORPG expansion on Nexon's MapleStory franchise, and the first game in Nexon's MapleStory Universe (MSU) Project.

Published by NEXPACE LIMITED (NEXPACE), the Web3 IP-expansion initiative backed by Nexon, MapleStory N offers breakthrough innovation to reward and track player achievements using the cutting-edge technology. With the new game, NEXPACE also debuted its proprietary NXPC token, which will be integral to the MapleStory Universe ecosystem.

MapleStory N blends the nostalgic 2D visuals and classic gameplay of the original MapleStory IP with blockchain-native features such as NFTs, on-chain item mechanics, and open marketplaces. In the game, players can complete quests, battle monsters, while earning, crafting and trading assets that hold real-world value. The MSU platform also introduces Synergy Apps, allowing fans, creators, and builders to develop their own content and decentralized applications.

The NXPC can be exchanged for NFTs, creating a self-balancing system that curbs oversupply and maintains long-term item value. Beyond gameplay, the NXPC token powers a broader contributor reward system, incentivizing creators to contribute content that expands the MSU ecosystem.
