Bismarck State College (BSC) ranks among the region's best when comparing higher education marketing initiatives. Competing against institutions from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Manitoba, BSC landed in the winner's circle six times at the 2024 National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) District 5 Medallion Awards.
BSC brought home four gold and two silver NCMPR Medallions, including:

Their commitment to the college's mission is reflected in their exceptional concepts, writing, design and videography," says BSC President Doug Jensen. "I often get asked which agency does our marketing, and I'm extremely proud to say that this is all done in-house, thanks to the work of our very own, extremely talented BSC team members."
The award-winning entries are the creative works of BSC Public Affairs team including Holly Schaeffer, Dusty Anderson, Cole Bernhardt, Michelle Kraft, Shawnee Randolph, Luis Vilella and Bailey Wilhelm. BSC Dual Credit coordinator Ashley Mattson and BSC graphic design apprentices

NCMPR recognizes excellence among marketing and communications professionals at community and technical colleges across North America. BSC Public Affairs will submit several of these award-winning projects to the national NCMPR Paragon Awards competition in 2025.
