Notice to Child Care Providers Regarding the July 4th Holiday

Notice to Child Care Providers Regarding the July 4th Holiday

Child Care Assistance Program - Monday, June 15, 2026
print

Please be advised that the State of Illinois will observe the 4th of July holiday on Friday, July 3rd. Therefore, the July Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) payments will be processed by the Illinois Office of Comptroller (IOC) on the next business day

The Comptroller's Office has indicated that recipients who have chosen to receive payments via direct deposit may see those deposits as early as Wednesday, July 8th. Paper checks will be mailed on Tuesday, July 7th. While the Comptroller's Office is implementing a new accounting system during this timeframe, no additional delays for CCAP or other payments are expected.

Please note that all payments will continue to be processed, and all providers will still receive payment.

This payment schedule is not related to the transition of programs and services, including the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) from the Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Early Childhood (DHS-DEC) to the Illinois Department of Early Childhood (IDEC). All respective agencies are working together with the IOC to ensure communication is appropriately shared about this notice.

You can view your pending payments through the IOC portal here and sign up for notifications on when payments are made. All recipients are encouraged to sign up for direct deposit so future payments are received faster by calling IOC at 217-557-0930. Please direct any questions on CCAP payments to your CCR&R or email IDEC at [email protected].
