KDOT announces approved July bids

The Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects. The letting took place on July 22 in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.

District One - Northeast

Statewide - 35-106 KA-7717-01 - I-35: One sign structure located at the I-35 ramp to Antioch Road in Johnson County and three sign structures between U.S. 69 and U.S. 169 in Wyandotte County, signing, Collins And Hermann Inc., St. Louis, Missouri, $1,999,999.99.

District Three - Northwest

Logan - 40-55 KA-7662-01 - U.S. 40: Beginning at Road 140, northeast to Road 270, milling and overlay, 14.7 miles, Venture Corporation, Great Bend, Kansas, $7,569,847.32.

Smith - 8-92 KA-6471-01 - K-8: Bridge 031 over Middle Beaver Creek, located 12.12 miles north of the U.S. 36/K-8 junction, bridge replacement, Bridges Inc., Newton, Kansas, $2,926,555.65.

District Four - Southeast

Greenwood - 37 C-5350-01 - Bridge: Over east branch of Fall River located 6.0 miles south and 2.5 miles east of Teeterville, bridge replacement, 0.2 mile, B & B Bridge Company LLC, St. Paul, Kansas, $982,984.05.

Neosho - 67 C-5355-01 - Bridge: Over Little Labette Creek located 3.2 miles east and 5.0 miles south of Thayer, bridge replacement, 0.2 mile, B & B Bridge Company LLC, St. Paul, Kansas, $617,484.00

Woodson - 104 C-5363-01 - Bridge: Over Big Sandy Creek located 1.5 miles north and 1.0 mile east of Woodson County State Lake, bridge replacement, 0.1 mile, B & B Bridge Company LLC, St. Paul, Kansas, $711,701.10.

District Five - South Central

Butler - 8 KA-8004-01 - U.S. 54: From 159th Street east to the west city limits of Augusta, K-177 from the U.S. 54/K-177 junction north to the Butler/Chase county line and U.S. 54 from the east city limits of Augusta east to Pickrell Corner, crack repair, 37.7 miles, Pavement Pros LLC, Mcpherson, Kansas, $287,721.83.

Reno - 78 TE-0577-01 - South Hutchison: Avenue C from Main Street to Whiteside Street and West Blanchard Road from Whiteside Street to Friendship Way, pedestrian and bicycle paths, 0.6 mile, Prado Construction LLC, Valley Center, Kansas, $269,932.00.

Sedgwick - 54-87 KA-0161-05 - U.S. 54: Bridge 132 over Flood Control Canal located 0.2 mile east of Hoover Road, bridge replacement, King Construction Company Inc & Subsidiaries, Hesston, Kansas, $17,444,231.56.

Shawnee - 89 C-5319-01 - RS 315, located at Northwest Carlson Road and Northwest Rossville Road, roadside improvement, 0.2 mile, Bettis Asphalt & Construction, Inc., Topeka, Kansas, $229,855.00

Ottawa - 72 C-5321-01 - RS 2039, located from Ottawa Road to K-18, grading and surfacing, 3.4 miles, Shilling Construction Co., Inc., Manhattan, Kansas $1,465,257.85.

Cheyenne - 12 C-5347-01 - Bridge over Big Timber Creek, located 12.0 miles north and 2.0 miles east of Bird City, bridge replacement, 0.2 mile, Wildcat Construction Co., Inc., Wichita, Kansas, $315,043.30.
