Murat Kumpilov Kumpilov MuratHead of the Republic of Adygeya highlighted key economic indicators, noting that the gross regional product reached 106.5 percent, the industrial production index stood at 102 percent, and investment volumes rose to 117 percent year on year. An industrial park is being established, with contracts already signed with five resident companies. The republic reported a record wheat harvest, with winter wheat yields exceeding 60 centners per hectare. Investment projects in agriculture are underway, including the construction of an oil extraction plant and two rice mills. Cheese production capacity continues to expand alongside the development of the Adyghe cheese brand. The total output of analogue cheese exceeded 32,000 tonnes. The Adyghe Cheese Festival has been held for 14 consecutive years, with the most recent event attracting 70,000 visitors over two days. As a driver of event tourism, the festival results in full occupancy of hotels and guesthouses across the republic. Overall, tourist flow to Adygeya increased by 160 percent in 2025.
The President drew the attention of the Head of Adygeya to the need to renovate social institutions, primarily preschools and schools, as well as to address staffing shortages in the healthcare sector. He noted in particular that, unlike many other regions of Russia, the republic is experiencing a modest yet steady resident population growth. Murat Kumpilov reported that in recent years, the republic has focused on constructing large-scale facilities, including 11 schools, 18 preschools, kindergartens, hospitals, paramedic centres, and outpatient clinics. Going forward, greater attention and resources will be directed towards the renovation of social infrastructure.
