During a recent panel discussion in the Detroit area hosted by The American Journal of Managed Care, cancer care experts from Karmanos, including Ammar Sukari, M.D., medical oncologist and leader of the Head and Neck Oncology Multidisciplinary Team, led a panel discussion, and Qianyao Qiu, PharmD, BCOP, clinical pharmacy specialist at Karmanos, participated in one of the panels. Qiu described the four-step process at Karmanos for helping patients safely start oral cancer medications, which covers access, education, drug interactions and side effect management.
