Designed for both boat builders and owners, the system simplifies installation, reduces helm clutter and allows lighting to be controlled directly through compatible multifunction displays (MFDs).
Developed to address the growing demand for integrated onboard systems, this new solution allows users to control Bluefin's latest Pro-Link RGBW underwater lights directly through MFDs, including Raymarine Axiom chartplotters, all Q Experience screens, and Garmin OneHelm, with further compatibility planned. The system can also be controlled remotely via smartphone or tablet. Traditionally, colour-changing underwater lighting systems have relied on separate control boxes, multiple switches or Wi-Fi dependent interfaces. Bluefin's Pro-Link and Mini IYS architecture replaces this complexity with a robust hard-wired solution that integrates directly into the vessel's existing electronics network.
The Mini IYS Lighting Controller acts as the gateway between the vessel's MFD and Bluefin's lighting system, using a single Ethernet connection to provide control of colour selection, dimming, strobing, automatic colour cycling and sound-to-light functionality. The Mini IYS 4-Way Hub then enables control of up to four Piranha Pro-Link lights, with systems expandable to 16 lights through multiple hubs.
The launch also expands Bluefin's Piranha range, with the latest Pro-Link models including the P4CC, P6CC and P24CC RGBW underwater lights. Joining the range is the new P24TH thru-hull light, available in single-colour, dual-colour and Pro-Link RGBW variants. Together, they offer greater flexibility while benefiting from the same focus on performance, reliability and ease of installation.
Owners increasingly expect advanced lighting functionality to be as easy to use as every other system onboard. At the same time, boat builders are looking for cleaner installations and simpler integration. Pro-Link and Mini IYS were developed to address both challenges, bringing powerful RGBW lighting control directly onto the screens owners already use every day, while also making installation significantly more straightforward.
Simon Steadman Commercial Director at Bluefin LEDGrowing demand for smarter, more connected onboard systems is driving the next generation of marine technology. By combining advanced underwater lighting control with straightforward installation and smooth integration, Bluefin has created a solution that is as practical for builders and installers as it is intuitive for end users.
