City-Parish Offices to Remain Closed Due to Freezing Weather Conditions

BATON ROUGE, LA - Wednesday, January 22, 2025 - As a result of the ongoing freezing weather and in the interest of public safety, all City-Parish offices will remain closed on Thursday, January 23, 2025. City-parish is taking this measure to prioritize the safety of employees and residents.

Mayor-President Sid Edwards is urging all Baton Rouge residents to stay off the roads during this time. In a statement shared on X, he stated, "I'm incredibly proud of everyone for staying off the roads. It's dangerous to walk or drive right now. Let's keep working together to ensure everyone stays safe!"

Mayor-President Edwards encourages residents to remain indoors, avoid travel, and take precautions to protect themselves and their families during these freezing conditions.
