NYC Ferry Drops Summer 2026 Merch Collection

'The Peoples' Yacht' and 'Take the Scenic Route' Merch Available Online Now; Limited Items to be Available Aboard Select Routes Later This Summer

New Collection Highlights New Yorker's Love of NYC Ferry Service

NEW YORK, NY-New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and NYC Ferry today announced the launch of NYC Ferry's Summer 2026 merchandise collection, giving riders and ferry fans a new way to show their love for the city's waterfront transportation network.

The collection is the first core NYC Ferry merchandise release since the system launched and features two design concepts inspired by the ferry experience: The People's Yacht and Take the Scenic Route. Items include T-shirts, tanks, totes, hats, and postcards designed for New Yorkers, commuters, visitors, and anyone who enjoys seeing the five boroughs from the water.

The collection is available online via the Official NYC Ferry Store beginning July 17, with direct-to-consumer orders printed on demand and delivered to customers in approximately seven to 10 days. A limited slate of items, including hats and bags, will become available for purchase through on-board concessions later this summer, beginning on the Rockaway route before expanding to the East River route.

"This brand-new merchandise collection captures the ethos of NYC Ferry - a reliable and affordable way to get around the city that connects New Yorkers and visitors to the water," said NYC Ferry Executive Director James Wong. "It also capitalizes on the deep love riders have for NYC Ferry - not only as a key part of New York City's transit network, but as an iconic New York brand that reflects how people experience the city from its waterways."

"On behalf of our entire crew, Hornblower is excited to offer ferry-fan-tested and approved merchandise that celebrates all that NYC Ferry offers and represents the more than 50 million riders that have embraced the system since its launch," said Madalena Phillips, Vice President of Marketing, Hornblower Group, the operator of NYC Ferry. "With exclusive items designed with our riders in mind, ferry commuters can now proudly show their love for The People's Yacht whether on the waterways or off."

The Summer 2026 collection includes Take the Scenic Route totes for $25, The People's Yacht totes for $40, The People's Yacht dad caps and snapbacks for $40, Take the Scenic Route tanks for $30, and The People's Yacht tees and boxy crop tees for $35.

The official launch of NYC Ferry merchandise follows the system's 2024 limited partnership with Gay Pride Apparel, a New York City-based and LGBTQIA+/BIPOC-owned small business, that included a limited collection celebrating New York's important role in LGBTQIA+ history and NYC Ferry's ongoing success as a reliable, convenient, and fun commuting option that is accessible and welcoming to all New Yorkers.

NYC Ferry connects riders to waterfront neighborhoods across New York City, offering convenient service for commuting, recreation, and exploring the city. The new merchandise collection builds on NYC Ferry's role as a recognizable part of the city's transportation network and a beloved way to experience New York from the water.
