[Announcement] Our D-PIM® Screw Cap Development Project Selected for Shizuoka Prefecture’s “New Growth Industry Strategic Development Project”

We are pleased to announce that Daiho Industrial Co., Ltd. has been selected for a subsidy under the “FY2025 New Growth Industry Strategic Development Project” (Prototype Development Subsidy (CNF)), managed by the Shizuoka Industrial Promotion Foundation.
The selected research and development theme is the “Development of Screw Caps by Pulp Injection Molding.”
Our company has succeeded in the world’s first development of a screw cap using our proprietary pulp injection molding technology, D-PIM®. This project aims for the mass production of this product using pulp materials, including CNF (Cellulose Nanofiber).
The D-PIM® screw cap has confirmed material-specific “gas permeability,” allowing it to gradually release internal components. Therefore, it is expected to be used in new ways for agricultural repellents/attractants and fragrance/aroma products, as a cap that combines both sophisticated design and functionality.
Furthermore, D-PIM® has also confirmed oil resistance under normal temperatures and in daily life. In recent years, environmental and health risks from per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have become a growing concern, and regulations are strengthening. Amidst this, D-PIM® holds great potential as a bio-derived material that is “PFAS-free” (non-fluorine) and “biodegradable” while ensuring oil resistance.
We will continue to accelerate product development through this subsidy project and pursue the full potential of D-PIM® technology.
