TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - Closure of Rt 9 for Roadway Patching
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists a stretch of Rt 9 will be closed so a sinkhole can be filled in.
Starting Monday, June 1st at 6:00 am, Route 9 will be closed between Bayview Road and Farm Lane so a crew will be able to fill in a sinkhole over the tide gate structure. The closure is scheduled to continue until Wednesday, June 3rd at 5:00 pm, but may be picked up before then.
Motorists should use caution and expect minor delays in the area. For more information visit the DelDOT website at www.deldot.gov, or download the DelDOT app.
