The City of Nampa has started construction on an extension of the main sewer line along Ustick Road between Madison Road and Can Ada Road. This line is sometimes known as the Purdam Trunk Sewer Line.
The gravity sewer main will be extended from its current location just east of the intersection of Treeline Avenue and Ustick Road 2.3 miles east to Can Ada Road. The deepest portion of the gravity line will be buried 40 feet below the road. Project completion is expected in early 2028. Drivers can expect intermittent flagging and lane restrictions on Ustick Road between Treeline Avenue and Prescott Lane from January through February 2026.
Ustick Road between Treeline Avenue and North Franklin Boulevard will be closed from January 5, 2026, through Summer 2026. Through traffic will not be permitted. Drivers should utilize detour routes on Madison Road, Cherry Lane and North Franklin Boulevard during construction. A monthlong hard closure of the intersection of North Franklin Boulevard and Ustick Road will be required in Summer 2026. At that time, drivers should utilize detour routes on Madison Road, Cherry Lane and 11th Avenue North. Additional information about the timing of the intersection closure will be shared as construction progresses. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and take alternative routes.
Between Summer 2026 and early 2028, work will continue east towards Can Ada Road. Additional road closures are anticipated. Local access to properties within the project area will be coordinated throughout the project.
The project will bring additional city services to residents and new developments in northern Nampa. This work is part of a series of projects to expand economic opportunities in this growing area.
