The Iowa City Senior Center (ICSC) is kicking off summer fun with a free, outdoor concert featuring local favorites the Beaker Brothers Band starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Chauncey Swan Park.
The show, entitled "Back to Beaker Street: A Dance Party," is a show for all ages, featuring classic hits from some of the greatest musicians of all time: The Rolling Stones, Santana, The Grateful Dead, Steely Dan, and more. This classic music will be the perfect excuse to get you on your feet and dancing in Downtown Iowa City.
Learn more about this and future ICSC events by visiting www.icgov.org/senior, or by calling 319-356-5220.
Concertgoers should bring their own blankets or lawn chairs, and are free to bring snacks as well. The ICSC's Assembly Room will serve as a rainout location.
For 20 years, the Beaker Brothers Band has been a staple of the Iowa music scene and a mainstay of Iowa City venues like The Englert Theatre and events like the Summer of the Arts. They perform some of the classics of the jam band era that were broadcast across the country in the 60s, 70s, and every decade since.
This show is a part of their "Reelin' in the Years and Signing Off" farewell tour. Learn more about the band at their website.
