The AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust (HIT) hosted a worker appreciation lunch at Beltline Station in St. Louis Park, MN to honor the approximately 250 union construction workers whose skill, dedication, and hard work are bringing two new residential buildings within the Beltline Station development to life. Joined by labor, government, an
d housing leaders, the workers took center stage in a celebration recognizing their contributions to the project and the community. HIT's Regional Director - Marketing Pat Harris opened the event by welcoming attendees and introducing several prominent community leaders who joined in honoring the workforce.
HIT is providing financing for the development of 298 rental units across two separate buildings, Building 1, a 7-story mixed-use structure with 152 rental housing units, and Solene (Building 3), a 5-story residential building with 146 rental units, as well as an adjacent six-story, 571-stall parking ramp. By the end of construction, the development is estimated to create 730,270 hours of union construction work. With a total development cost of approximately $108.9 million, the development is estimated to generate $26.6 million in additional tax revenue and result in a total economic benefit of $195.1 million for the community.*
