The Environmental Art & Design Prize (EADP) is back in 2026 for its sixth year and it's time to submit your art and design works to be part of the collective conversation and action around the environment.
Artists and designers from all over Australia are being called to enter works that really get to the heart of environmental themes. Submissions are open from 10am on Wednesday 18 March right through to 5pm Monday 18 May 2026. If you've got an idea brewing, now's your chance to bring it to life.
Finalists will be revealed on Friday 28 May, while the winners will be announced on Friday 7 August 2026.
The judging panel this year features acclaimed visual artist Laura Jones and leading designer and cultural leader Nila Rezaei, so you know your work will be in good hands. They're keen to see fresh takes on the climate crisis and creative practices that push boundaries!
This year, there's a $46,000 prize pool up for grabs, thanks to generous sponsors and application fees. Visual arts and design winners will each walk away with $20,000, while the people's choice and young artist/designer winners will each score $3,000.
All finalists will be featured in an exhibition across two venues at Manly Art Gallery & Museum (Art & Design categories), and Curl Curl Creative Space (Young Artists & Designers category), from 7 August to 20 September 2026. It's a real chance to have your art or design in front of the community and be part of something that sparks change.
Environmental Art & Design Prize is presented by Northen Beaches Council and foundation sponsor Colormaker Industries along with event sponsor Kimbriki Environmental Enterprises and event supplier Seadrift Distillery.
