STAR - The Idaho Transportation Department will close southbound State Highway 16 between State Highway 44 and U.S. Highway 20/26 on Thursday, Oct. 1, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. to install an overhead sign.

Southbound traffic will be detoured to Star Road and Linder Road during the closure. View the detour map.

Upon completion in 2027 this interchange will be part of the new SH-16 corridor extension which will be a limited-access highway between SH-44 and Interstate 84. The SH-16 extension will improve regional mobility, provide access to I-84 in the rapidly growing central Treasure Valley, improving commutes for thousands of motorists.
