Four Lightbridge Academy Franchisees Lease Space with St. John Properties in Anne Arundel and Howard Counties

Early education and childcare centers coming soon to 14350 Sweitzer Lane, Arundel Overlook, I-97 Business Park, and Waugh Chapel Business Park

BALTIMORE, MD - Four separate and unaffiliated Lightbridge Academy franchise groups have signed leases with St. John Properties, Inc. for space in Anne Arundel and Howard County business communities. New early education and childcare facilities are expected to open later this and early next year at 14350 Sweitzer Lane, Arundel Overlook, I-97 Business Park, and Waugh Chapel Business Park, adding to the more than 90 locations across 13 states. Adam Schindler of Colliers International represented the tenant in each transaction with Bill Jautze, Lacey Johansson, and Michael Tait representing St. John Properties.

Founded in 1997, Lightbridge Academy provides early education and childcare programming to children aged six weeks through six years. With a focus on prioritizing the needs of children and their families, the curriculum emphasizes seven areas considered essential to growth and development: mathematics and science, creative arts and music, language and literacy, social and emotional, sensory, physical and well-being, and cognitive. Following the influence and theories of scholars such as Maria Montessori, the mission of Lightbridge Academy is to "unlock every child's potential." Lightbridge Academy expects to have more than 100 facilities in operation by year-end.

Each new location is projected to hire 25 to 30 certified childcare professionals and administrators, and will include secure classrooms, indoor and outdoor play areas, administrative offices, and conference rooms. Three of the four facilities will be located within St. John Properties' signature flex/R&D buildings, while all four locations will average 12,750 square feet in size.
