State Route 4 - Lane & Ramp Closures
Long-Term One-Way Traffic Control At Old River Bridge

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 4 (SR-4) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Long-term, 24-hour, one-way traffic control will be implemented on SR-4 at the Old River Bridge (San Joaquin/Contra Costa County line) for construction through November 2026.
    • Vehicles measuring over 34 feet in length are strongly recommended to seek alternate routes. SR-12 or Interstate 205 are highway alternatives between Discovery Bay and Stockton.
    • Plan Ahead: 55-hour full highway closures from Roberts Road to Old River Bridge scheduled for July 10-13 and July 17-20, 2026.
  • Overnight, intermittent one-way traffic control from SR-99 to the San Joaquin/Stanislaus County line for pavement work beginning Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19, from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.

Interstate 5 - Ramp & Lane Closures
Closures From Hammer Lane To Sacramento County Line

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 (I-5) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound I-5 from Hammer Lane to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line for construction beginning Sunday, June 14, through Saturday, June 20, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound).
  • Overnight, alternating full on and off-ramp closures at Hammer Lane, Eight Mile Road, SR-12 (Flag City), Turner Road, Peltier Road, and Walnut Grove/Thornton Road for construction beginning Sunday, June 14, through Saturday, June 20, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound).

The above listed lane and ramp closures on I-5 between Hammer Lane and the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line are required as part of the I-5 Anchor Pavement Project that will improve 34 miles of existing pavement and shoulders from Hammer Lane in Stockton to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line. The project will also replace on- and off-ramps with upgraded concrete at Eight Mile Road, State Route 12, Turner Road, Peltier Road, and Thornton Road/Walnut Grove Road. State Route 26 - Lane Closures
Daytime One-Way Traffic Control

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 26 (SR-26) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • One-way traffic control from Plain (Duck) Creek to Sandstone Creek Bridge for pavement work beginning Tuesday, June 16, through Friday, June 19, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Shelley Road to Wimer Road for pavement work beginning Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

State Route 99 - Lane Closures
Overnight Closures For Construction In Manteca

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 99 (SR-99) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound SR-99 from Jack Tone Road to SR-120/Manteca Bypass for construction beginning Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19, from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound.)
  • Long-term, full off-ramp closure from northbound SR-99 at Austin Road for construction through Sunday, June 14, 2026.

State Route 120 - Ramp Closures
Overnight Closures For Construction In Manteca

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 120 (SR-120) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, connector ramp closures from eastbound SR-120/Manteca Bypass to southbound SR-99 for pavement work beginning Tuesday, June 16, through Friday, June 19, from 9:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, connector ramp closures from eastbound SR-120/Yosemite Avenue to southbound SR-99 for pavement work beginning Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19, from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
