UDO information can be found on our new webpage

Newton County is in the process of updating its Unified Development Ordinance to combine land use requirements, zoning, subdivision regulations, stormwater management, natural resource protection and design guidelines into a single document.

Creating this document began in June 18, 2024 and is currently in the draft process.

A new webpage provides a wide-range of information on the UDO, including a timeline of events, why it is being done now, frequently asked questions, what has been done to this point and what is being done in the future and how the public can be involved.
