JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - For the safety of the traveling public, construction crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation anticipate closing the driving (right) lane of eastbound Interstate I-70 in Columbia this afternoon for emergency pavement repairs. The lane closure, near mile marker 131 at St. Charles Road, is expected to be in place from 5 p.m. May 28 through early morning May 29.
Drivers traveling in Columbia on eastbound I-70 should consider alternate routes. Motorists are encouraged to give themselves extra time to travel through this area as backups are expected.
