On Sept. 12, The Pew Charitable Trusts responded to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS') call for input on proposed updates to health provider payment policies and reporting programs, urging the agency to adopt measures that would help drive improvements in the comprehensiveness, quality, and timeliness of information being shared with public health agencies. Among its recommendations and implementation considerations, Pew encouraged the CMS to prioritize a performance-based immunization measure that could be both impactful and a relatively low burden for most providers to apply.
