Loma Linda University Children's Hospital has been recognized as a Best Children's Hospital by U.S. News & World Report for 2025-2026. The hospital is ranked 8th in California and 9th in the Pacific Region in U.S. News' 2025-2026 Best Children's Hospitals rankings. This is the fifth year Children's Hospital has been recognized as a Best Children's Hospital by U.S. News.
The following specialties also earned national rankings:
Pediatric Cardiology & Heart Surgery: no. 18
Pediatric Urology: no. 42
Peter Baker, JD, MBA, senior vice president and administrator of Children's Hospital, credits this recognition to the dedication and care of Children's Hospital employees.
"These achievements are the result of each employee's commitment to delivering world-class, faith-inspired care to every child who comes through our doors," he said. "Whether at the bedside, in the clinic, in the lab, or supporting behind the scenes, our employees' contributions make this recognition possible."
For this year's rankings, U.S. News, together with RTI International, a research firm, collected and analyzed data from 118 children's hospitals nationwide and surveyed thousands of pediatric specialists. "Best" designations are awarded based on factors such as clinical outcomes, compliance with established best practices, and level and quality of hospital resources directly related to patient care.
"Being a top-ranked pediatric hospital means more than just excelling in a single specialty - it means being a pillar of outstanding care for your entire region," said Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News. "Our rankings acknowledge these hospitals for their comprehensive excellence, helping families find the very best care conveniently located within their state and community."
