County Clerk & Elections Division to Test Election Equipment; Public Invited

WHAT: Public Accuracy Tests of the equipment to be used in the Oakland County Absent Voter Counting Board (AVCB) and Early Voting for the May 5, 2026 elections

WHEN: Friday, April 17, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.

WHERE: Oakland County Board of Canvassers Training Room Oakland County Courthouse, 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., Pontiac, MI 48341 (use west entrance)

WHY: Public Accuracy Tests are conducted to verify the functionality, accuracy and security of the voting equipment that will be used in the upcoming election.

"The public testing of election equipment is done before every election and is one of the many measures in place to ensure our elections are accurate and secure," said Oakland County Clerk/ Register of Deeds Lisa Brown. "May 5 elections will occur in just a few communities. We will be able to conduct testing in just one day as less equipment will be needed. I welcome members of the public to join us at the Public Accuracy Test and observe firsthand some of the measures we take to safeguard our elections."

In Oakland County, elections are being held on May 5 in the Avondale School District and Grand Blanc Community Schools where voters will be asked to weigh in on various funding issues.
