USGBC is pleased to introduce the 2025 ADAPT Southeast Regional Conference coming to the LEED Gold city of Orlando, Florida, from March 3 to 5 at the Hilton Orlando at Disney Springs. It will be co-located with the Green Schools Conference.
The ADAPT Conference will convene industry leaders, innovators and sustainability advocates to explore the critical intersection of green building and resilience, moving us from adapting to thriving. The southeast region faces unique challenges in climate change, resource allocation and evolving urban landscapes-including rising sea levels, unprecedented heat, and more frequent, stronger catastrophic weather events. The need for sustainable, adaptable and forward-thinking infrastructure is more urgent than ever.
Our host city earned LEED Gold certification in November 2019 under LEED v4.1. Orlando was rated on its citywide sustainability and resiliency efforts, which have resulted in the implementation of policies and programs designed to enhance environmental stewardship and quality of life. USGBC is now accepting session proposals for the ADAPT Conference. We invite you to submit education sessions focused on projects, policies and people leading the way in resilient, healthy and sustainable communities. Share your expertise through thought leadership discussion, case study, panel presentation, storytelling or other format that aligns with your communication style.
Sessions at the conference will be 60 minutes in length, though the review committee will consider alternate timing for the right session, if needed.
In alignment with USGBC's organizational goals, we will prioritize proposals that focus on the following:
Additionally, attendees will have targeted opportunities to connect with green schools and sustainability professionals participating in the Green Schools Conference, co-located with the ADAPT Conference. The Green Schools Conference brings together leaders involved in creating and advocating for green schools, with a focus on those leading their schools and school systems toward whole-school sustainability. The co-located conferences will each convene hundreds of professionals across sectors and industries to expand the global green building community of practice and its influence.
Information about the program, discounted room rates for conference attendees and registration pricing will soon be available. Registration will open in December 2024. Be sure to join our newsletter list to receive the latest updates. We look forward to reviewing your proposal and seeing you in Orlando.
