Partnership in Action: Convening Business and Community Leaders for Shared Growth
At its Zeeland, Michigan campus, MillerKnoll recently hosted the PrimeTime Connect! Symposium, bringing together corporations, small businesses, and community organizations for a day focused on strengthening partnerships and expanding opportunities.
Organized in collaboration with the Great Lakes Women's Business Council (GLWBC) and co-sponsored by Gentex and Yanfeng, the event welcomed more than 120 participants representing 48 companies. Attendees included certified small businesses, prospective suppliers, and corporate partners, all coming together to exchange ideas and explore new paths for collaboration.
The symposium centered on a simple but powerful premise: accountable leadership not only creates more resilient supply chains, but also fosters stronger businesses and more effective leaders. Through a mix of keynote conversations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, participants shared strategies for growth, discussed the realities of navigating uncertainty, and explored how organizations can work together more effectively.
Throughout the day, speakers addressed the evolving nature of supplier relationships and the role of leadership in driving long-term impact. Conversations focused on building connection, adaptability, trust, best practices in transformative leadership, and the importance of creating systems that support both business performance and broader community success.
Beyond the stage, the event was designed to move past traditional networking. Interactive working sessions invited participants to engage directly with one another, whether by tackling shared challenges, exchanging practical insight, or identifying opportunities for partnership. The result was a more active working environment-one where ideas could turn into next steps.
That intent was carried through the room. Attendees connected across industries and company sizes, forming new relationships, and strengthening existing ones. Many left with not only new perspectives, but also tangible opportunities to continue conversations beyond the event. What stood out most was how the conversation moved beyond the supply chain itself, offering leadership perspectives that felt relevant no matter the role, industry, or organization.
Events like PrimeTime Connect! are one of the ways MillerKnoll continues to invest in supplier advancement, leadership development, and community engagement-bringing together people and organizations with the shared goal of building stronger, more inclusive economic ecosystems.
By creating space for collaboration and practical exchange, the symposium reinforced a core belief: when organizations connect with purpose, the impact extends well beyond a single day.
