Advancing ethical marketing in the digital age: Dr. Ania Rynarzewska

College of Business & Technology Tuesday December 16, 2025

Meet Dr. Ania Rynarzewska, a marketing scholar at Georgia College & State University's J. Whitney Bunting College of Business & Technology. With experience spanning to Fortune 500 firms, entrepreneurial ventures and academia, she blends theory with practice to prepare students for today's digital marketplace.

Her research tackles pressing issues like influencer marketing, social media crises and consumer protection. Recent work - such as Distracting Influencer: Visual Framing and Consumer Socialization - earned top honors from the Society for Marketing Advances. She also explores how loneliness and algorithm-driven engagement fuel polarization, contributing to national conversations on digital well-being.

Beyond marketing, Rynarzewska collaborates on healthcare studies published in journals like American Journal of Men's Health. Before joining Georgia College in 2022, she led Mercer University's MS in Business Analytics program and, as a Ph.D. student, she taught at Florida State University, where she earned her Ph.D. in communication with a marketing focus.

A former Division I tennis athlete and national champion of Poland, she credits her competitive spirit for her drive toward innovation. Today, she also runs a wellness brand that doubles as a research lab, consults in analytics and healthcare and champions ethical marketing practices that foster trust and transparency.
