WVU plans bell-ringing ceremony to remember students

West Virginia Universitywill hold a bell-ringing ceremony, coordinated by the Office of Campus and Community Lifeand Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity, on Friday, Nov. 1, in remembrance of McKenzie Wilt and Scott Saylor.

Wilt, a senior animal and nutritional sciencesmajor from Oakland, Maryland, died on June 15; and Saylor, a doctoral student in biochemistry and molecular biologyfrom Washington, D.C., died on July 14.

The service will begin at noon at Oglebay Plaza.

Those interested in attending are asked to gather near the bell of the USS West Virginia at least 15 minutes early. Family, friends and members of the University community are welcome to attend.
