The University of Pittsburgh's regional campuses have earned national recognition for their academic excellence and strong student support - and they're also seeing more students choose Pitt close to home.
In the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, Pitt-Johnstown and Pitt-Bradford both placed among the top 20 colleges in the Regional Colleges North category, at No. 14 and No. 17, respectively. Among publics, the campuses were ranked No. 9 and No. 12, respectively.
Both campuses were also recognized among the Best Colleges for Veterans, with Pitt-Johnstown ranking No. 5 and Pitt-Bradford ranking No. 7. Earlier this year, the two regional campuses were also named to Viqtory Media's list of Military Friendly Schools; it was Pitt-Bradford's 15th consecutive recognition.
Pitt-Bradford also earned a No. 9 ranking on U.S. News' Best Value Schools list. The University's Bradford campus also picked up a fifth consecutive placement on the Transfer Honor Roll for building pathways to support transfer students, particularly from community and two-year colleges.
The U.S. News recognition comes as Pitt's regional campuses are reporting rising enrollment numbers across the board. According to the University's 2025 student census, enrollment across the four regional campuses increased to 4,291 students this fall, up from 4,152 in fall 2024.
The Pittsburgh campus is ranked among the top 35 public colleges in the nation and boasts a top 10 nursing program. Explore more highlights from the recent U.S. News and World Report rankings.
