Department of Transportation and Public Facilities
October 23, 2025

Subject to AS 38.05.810, the SCRO Material Sales Program has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Department of Transportation and Public Facilities

PROJECT NAME: Material Sale ADL 226620

DESIGNATED MATERIAL SITE: ADL 231519

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: MP 27 of the Copper River Highway, West of the Copper River, southeast of Cordova, AK.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: A 60-acre site within Sections 30 & 31, Township 16 South, Range 2 West, Copper River Meridian.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is applying to purchase 150,000 cubic yards (cy) of material, to be extracted from this site at Public & Charitable rate (P&C), 2026 through 2030.

REQUESTED TERM: Sale term requested for 5 years.

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: November 24, 2025, at 11:59 pm

DMLW is seeking information related to the extraction of material from this site that may assist in the development of specific operating/reclamation requirements for the site, or identifying any multiple land use issues that may need to be addressed prior to issuance of this or future contracts.

Pursuant to AS 38.05.565, public notice of future contracts may not be conducted.

To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at South Central Regional Land Office, 550 7th Ave suite 900c, Anchorage, Alaska 99501 on or before 11:59 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
