Retailers Urge Passage of Credit Card Competition Act
The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) issued the following statement on Senator Marshall's sponsorship of the Credit Card Competition Act (CCCA) & White House endorsement.
"RILA supports Senator Marshall (R-KS) and his efforts to promote a modern, fair, and competitive playing field for electronic payments through the CCCA. For too long, credit card companies have gouged retailers and all Main Street businesses that accept credit cards," said Austen Jensen, RILA's senior executive vice president of public affairs.
"We appreciate Sen. Marshall's leadership on this issue critical to American Main Street businesses and to lowering costs for American consumers. We urge Congress to swiftly pass the CCCA."
