State Police arrest Syracuse man following pursuit

On January 6, 2025, at about 11:00 p.m., State Police initiated a traffic stop on a 2003 Toyota on Spencer Street in the City of Syracuse for tinted windows.

The vehicle initially pulled over but fled shortly after, prompting a pursuit. The vehicle turned onto multiple streets, including Shonnard Street, where the operator fled on foot.

The operator, identified as Joshua A. Pizarro-Osorio, 21, from Syracuse, NY, was located nearby and taken into custody by an Onondaga Sheriff's deputy.

Pizarro-Osorio was turned over to State Police and arrested for Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer, numerous traffic violations, and released on an appearance ticket.
