As Summer is in full swing and our community is out enjoying the warm weather, the Spokane Police Department and Spokane City Parks and Recreation want to remind everyone of the importance of helping keep our parks safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for all.

The Spokane Police Department along with City Park Rangers are actively enforcing Spokane Municipal code (SMC) 12.06A regarding after-hours use of City parks.

City parks are closed from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with the exception of Riverfront Park, which is closed from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Remaining in a city park after the posted closing hours without authorization constitutes park trespassing under the SMC and may result in a warning or enforcement action to include: a misdemeanor citation, a park exclusion ranging from 1 day to a year in length, and for repeat violators or non-compliant individuals, the possibility of an arrest.

Please respect posted park hours and signage, and help keep our parks safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone!

Contact Crime Check (509-456-2233) if you observe any suspicious activity or large gatherings in our parks after hours.
