SWOSU Esports continues to make a strong impression in regional and national competition, finishing the 2025 Great American Conference (GAC) season with three championships and securing a top-eight national placement in the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC).
Adam Brown took first place in the GAC Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Singles Championship, while SWOSU's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Crews team also claimed the conference title. The Overwatch 2 team completed an undefeated GAC season, losing only three individual rounds across the entire regular season and playoffs before winning the GAC championship match against Southeastern Oklahoma State University in the grand finals.

SWOSU competed in four titles during the GAC season-Smash Singles, Smash Crews, Overwatch 2, and Rocket League-winning three of the four conference championships. The Rocket League team earned a third-place finish in GAC standings.
In addition to their success in the GAC, SWOSU's Smash Bros. program reached the top 8 nationally in the NECC. With more than 300 colleges and universities competing in the NECC, this national placement highlights SWOSU's position among the country's top collegiate esports programs.
SWOSU launched its Esports program in 2021, establishing a dedicated arena and spectator-friendly environment on the Weatherford campus. The program provides live streams of matches at twitch.tv/swosuEsports, making it possible for fans and students to support their teams in real time.
