Novato Mourns the Loss of Councilmember Mark Milberg
It is with profound sadness that the City of Novato shares condolences on the passing of City Councilmember Mark Milberg, a dedicated public servant and cherished member of our community.
Mark devoted many years to serving Novato with distinction. He was appointed to the Novato City Council in 2021 and served as Mayor in 2024. Prior to serving on Council, he was a valued member of the Novato Citizens Finance Advisory/Oversight Committee. In every role, Mark demonstrated wisdom, integrity and a genuine commitment to the well-being of our community.
Mark's warmth, friendship and tireless dedication to Novato touched countless lives. His leadership, kindness and unwavering support for his community leave a legacy that will be remembered for years to come.
On behalf of the City Council and all City staff, we extend our deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.
