Governor Gianforte Recaps Sixth Annual 56 County Tour

Governor's Office

HELENA, Mont. - Governor Greg Gianforte recently concluded his sixth annual 56 County Tour as governor. This is the governor's tenth time visiting each of Montana's 56 counties since taking public office.

Gov. Gianforte traveled thousands of miles meeting with Montanans where they live and work, including small business owners, parents, students, teachers, veterans, leaders of Tribal Nations, law enforcement officers and first responders, health care professionals, tradesmen, entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders and volunteers, farmers, ranchers, and local leaders, among others.

"The 56 County Tour allows for an open dialogue with Montanans across the state," Gov. Gianforte said. "I always say you learn more on the road meeting with people than you do sitting behind a desk in Helena. From visits with farmers, ranchers, and small business owners, to townhall meetings with families, legislators, and local leaders - it's always great to hear directly from Montanans."

At the tour stops, the governor talked with Montanans about a wide range of issues important to them, including tax relief, housing, jobs, the economy, apprenticeship programs, crime, public safety, infrastructure, healthcare, value-added ag, forest management, education, tribal matters, and more.
