USW Local 9460 - Essentia Health
More than 800 techs at Essentia's Twin Ports hospitals are in contract negotiations, and the "non-profit" health giant is trying to force them to take concessions. They are going into mediation in August; before then, they will be holding an info picket this Thursday, July 30, from 1-6 p.m. outside of Essentia's main entrance in downtown Duluth.
MNA - Hazelden Betty Ford Clinics
Around 60 LPNs and RNs working for the Hazelden Betty Ford Clinic in Center City remain on strike for a first contract, after two weeks on the line. MNA has a petition going around to the board of the clinic that you can sign, and the workers have a GoFundMe set up as well. Keep an eye out for a coordinated MAPE solidarity day with these folks and our siblings on strike at the Chisago County Government Center in the coming days.
