The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 8 northbound at Exit 12 ramps in Shelton. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, September 20 and be completed on Monday, September 21, 2026. The project DOT1730543CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.11-mile segment of Route 8 northbound exit 12 ramps in Shelton. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Tilcon Sunday, September 20 to Monday, September 21, 2026. The resurfacing segment of this project by Tilcon is anticipated to begin on Sunday, September 20 to Monday, September 21, 2026.

This project is included in CTDOT's 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on exit 12 ramps of Route 8 northbound in Shelton. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday to Monday.
