DNC Congratulates Democratic Nominee Dr. Amy Acton on Her Victory in the Ohio Democratic Gubernatorial Primary Arrow

Tonight, the DNC congratulates Ohio's Democratic gubernatorial nominee, Dr. Amy Acton, and all the Democratic candidates who clinched victory and will appear on the ballot in November.

Across the Buckeye State, voters placed their trust in Democrats like Acton who are focused on delivering results for working families. Meanwhile, Republicans like Vivek Ramaswamy continue to carry water for the Trump-Vance administration and their agenda of higher costs, rampant corruption, and endless chaos. Ramaswamy's views are extremely out of touch - whether it's his views that Medicare and Medicaid were a mistake, his promise to defund schools and shut down public universities, or his disqualifying insults of fellow Ohioans as "lazy" and "mediocre." Dr. Acton will be a governor for everyone who calls Ohio home, which is why Democrats are fired up to help her flip this critical seat blue.

In response to Acton's victory, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:

"Dr. Amy Acton is a battle-tested leader who has spent her career fighting for working families, advocating to improve public health, and seeking common ground on the most pressing challenges facing Ohio. While her Republican opponent, Vivek Ramaswamy, thinks affordability is just a 'buzzword,' Dr. Acton will use every lever available to make sure that the American Dream remains within reach for hardworking Ohioans. The choice for voters is clear, which is why Dr. Acton will continue to draw support from every corner of the Buckeye State as she works to flip the governor's office blue this November."
