Update: Northwest Portland Homicide Victim Identified

The victim of the homicide in Northwest Portland on October 11, 2025, has been identified as Krystal Lynne Pendergraph, 39, of Portland. Her family has been notified of her death. They are requesting privacy at this time, but they provided a photo for public release.

The Medical Examiner determined Pendergraph died of homicide by gunshot.

No further information will be released at this time.

Homicide Investigation Underway in Northwest Portland
On Saturday, October 11, 2025, at approximately 5:09 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to Northwest Kearney Street between Northwest 22nd Avenue and Northwest 23rd Avenue on a welfare check of a female in a parked vehicle who appeared to have suffered from a gunshot wound. When they arrived, officers determined the adult female victim was deceased.

Northwest Kearney Street is closed between Northwest 21st Avenue and Northwest 23rd Avenue. No arrests have been made.

Homicide detectives have responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. Anyone with information about this case, who has not talked with police, is asked to contact [email protected]or 503-823-0479 and reference case number 25-280342. The PIO will not be responding to the scene.
