Overnight lane closures Tuesday and Wednesday on Garden of the Gods Road
Two lanes of eastbound and westbound Garden of the Gods Road, east of Interstate 25, will close during the overnight hours for construction of new traffic signals Tuesday and Wednesday.
The area affected is near Northpark Drive and Mark Dabling Boulevard. At least one lane in each direction will remain open during these night operations.
The planned lane closures will be:
- 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17
- 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, until 5 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18
The night operations are a continuation of daytime construction conditions. Motorists should use extra caution in these areas. Safety barriers will be in place, and motorists can expect to see heavy equipment, safety signage, artificial lighting and workers on foot.
The project underway includes installation of new traffic signals to make the area safer for drivers and pedestrians.
