Completion of New Flood Park Facilities Nears; Saturday Work Continues

October 21, 2024

Construction crews at Flood Park are in countdown mode as they work to complete Phase 1 of the Realize Flood Park Landscape Plan by late November. To finish construction of the multi-use sports field and sports courts, crews are scheduled to continue work on Saturdays, Oct. 19 through Nov. 16.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 4 through Friday, Nov. 22, the entire park, including the pump track, will be closed. No pedestrian, car or bicycle access will be permitted. The closure will enable construction crews easy and safe movement throughout the park as they finalize installation of facilities, planting, walking paths, and paving. The partial reopening of the park is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23 with access to the pump track, small sports field, and tennis/pickleball, basketball and sand volleyball courts.
