Low Income Senior and Disabled Water Refund Applications Open Soon

Residents who qualify for the Low Income Senior and Disabled Water Refund can apply from January 1 through May 31, 2026. Eligibility requires head of household status and a total household income under 54,950 dollars for 2025. The utility account needs to stay in the applicant's name for all twelve months of 2025, and only one application per household is allowed for the year. Applicants need to be at least 62 by March 1, 2025, or receive full Social Security disability benefits, or receive a non service connected disability pension from the Veterans Administration. Award letters for the year need to be included with the application.

The form is available online, and Fairfield Municipal Utilities staff can answer questions for residents who need support.
