Cebu, Philippines, July 27, 2026 - Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world's largest express transportation companies, has opened a new World Service Center in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, further strengthening its network in the Visayas region and enhancing support for businesses engaged in international trade.

Located at the Ground-Air Logistics Corporation (GALCO) Complex, 2nd Floor, Unit 3, within the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Cargo Complex and adjacent to the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Cebu office, the new facility is strategically positioned to streamline customs clearance.

On-site clearance processors are available to assist customers with customs-related inquiries and documentation requirements at the World Service Center. In addition, the facility serves as a convenient shipment drop-off location, providing greater flexibility for businesses and individuals seeking access to FedEx services without scheduling a pickup.

"As Cebu continues to strengthen its position as a major hub for trade, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship, FedEx remains committed to investing in infrastructure that helps local businesses connect with global opportunities," said Maribeth Espinosa, managing director, FedEx Philippines. "The Cebu World Service Center brings our services closer to customers, making international shipping more accessible, efficient, and convenient. From established exporters to growing small and medium enterprises, customers can rely on FedEx for the expertise, connectivity, and support they need to expand beyond borders and unlock new growth opportunities."

The new facility complements FedEx's existing air network in Cebu, which includes six inbound flights weekly (Sunday through Friday) and five outbound flights weekly (Monday through Thursday and Saturday). Together, these investments enhance the company's operational capabilities in the Visayas, enabling businesses in Cebu and neighboring provinces to benefit from faster, more seamless access to more than 220 countries and territories through the FedEx global network.

As cross-border e-commerce and regional trade continue to accelerate, the Cebu World Service Center underscores the company's commitment to strengthening logistics infrastructure in key growth markets across the Philippines.
