Weekly Road Construction Update - Dec. 7 to Dec. 13

Projects Administered by Deschutes County

South Century Drive/Huntington Road Intersection Improvement (La Pine Area) - Crews will be doing concrete work at the intersection of South Century Drive and Huntington Road.

  • Traffic Information - Road users should anticipate construction vehicles and equipment entering and exiting the roadway during work hours, 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday through Wednesday. Please note: There is now an all-way stop at the intersection.

Projects Administered by Other Agencies

Redmond Wetlands Complex (City of Redmond) - Crews will be doing sewer utility work in off-highway areas along Northwest Way and NW Coyner Avenue.

  • Traffic Information - Road users should anticipate construction vehicles and equipment entering and exiting the roadway during work hours.
  • Inquiries pertaining to this work should be directed to the City of Redmond Wetlands Complex project website.

U.S. 97: Terrebonne (Oregon Department of Transportation) - Crews will be installing concrete and doing utility work on 11th Street and C Avenue.

  • Traffic Information - C Avenue and 11th Street between Smith Rock Way and C Avenue will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Signed detour routes are in place.
  • Lower Bridge Way remains open allowing only right-in, right-out traffic movements. Traffic bound for U.S. 97 North will continue to use the signed detour route along NW 19th Street and NW Davidson Way.

China Hat Road & FS Road 1815 Closure (US Forest Service) - China Hat Road and Forest Service Road 1815 are both closed at the USFS Boundary for forest thinning work.

  • Traffic Information - China Hat Road and FS Road 1815 are closed to all traffic at the end of County maintenance. Access to the area is closed until further notice.

Other Road Impacts

Cascade Lakes Highway Closed for winter - The road between Mt. Bachelor and FS Road 4270 will remain closed until Deschutes County Road crews can remove the snow that accumulates over the winter and early spring, typically by Memorial Day, weather permitting.

Paulina Lake Road Closed for winter - The road east of Ten Mile Sno-Park will remain closed until Deschutes County Road crews can remove the snow that accumulates over the winter and early spring, typically by Memorial Day, weather permitting.
