Classic car enthusiasts and spectators from throughout Southeast Michigan converge on Telegraph Road for the annual "Telegraph Cruise" on Saturday, July 26. Official event hours are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
The cruise is always scheduled on the fourth Saturday of July each year. Many cars and crowds also gather the evening before for an unofficial kickoff.
Taylor Police ask cruise-goers to note the following:
Several business owners and operators along the Telegraph corridor make their parking lots available to cruisers and spectators, while others are hosting other cruise-related events. Many businesses hold special events throughout the day. City officials caution that special event permits are required.
Originally the Telegraph Tomorrow Classic Car Cruise, it was named for the Telegraph Tomorrow Association that worked to improve and promote the U.S. 24 (Telegraph Road) corridor.
