Experienced Distribution Executive will Lead the Company's Efforts to Capitalize on its Expansive Catalogue and Grow Licensing and Co-Production Partnerships

Los Angeles, CA (May 27, 2026) - The Jim Henson Company has tapped Shirley Bowers to join the Company as Vice President of Global Distribution. In her position, Bowers is responsible for all content sales and distribution, driving revenue from the Company's expansive library. She also develops co-production partnerships across international markets that maximize both reach and brand integrity. The announcement was made today by Chris Lytton, President and COO of The Jim Henson Company, to whom Bowers reports.

"Shirley's experience within the dynamic landscape of content distribution makes her a nimble leader, able to develop innovative content distribution ideas, embrace unique opportunities presented by emerging technologies, and identify potential partnerships. She has a proven track record of working with respected properties that can respond to emerging trends while maintaining a deep connection to their brand value," said Chris Lytton.

Bowers has over 20 years of experience in sales, co-financing, and acquisitions working across a wide range of genres and territories. Prior to joining The Jim Henson Company, she held senior distribution positions at Fremantle, Red Arrow Studios, Fox International Channels and National Geographic.
