NIFA Invests $10.3 Million to Protect U.S. Agriculture and Food Supply

USDA's National Institute of Food and Agriculture has invested $10.3 million to increase national capacity to prevent, rapidly detect, and respond to biological threats to the U.S. agriculture and food supply. The 14 awards are made as part of the Agriculture and Food Research Initiative's Agricultural Biosecurity program priority area. The FY24 funding includes six projects related to highly pathogenic avian influenza funded in partnership with USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS).
