Published on February 13, 2026

The City of Miami Department of Solid Waste announces that regular garbage, recycling, and bulky trash services will proceed as scheduled on Monday, February 16, 2026, in observance of Presidents' Day.

Residents with a Monday collection day, including those on a 1st and 3rd Monday recycling schedule, are reminded to place their garbage, recycling, and bulky trash curbside 12 to 24 hours prior to pickup. All materials must be placed on the public right-of-way and kept at least five (5) feet away from objects such as utility poles, vehicles, and mailboxes. Bulky items must be placed separately from garbage and recycling and must not be placed inside green garbage or blue recycling carts.

Additionally, the Solid Waste Department's Mini Dump facility, located at 1290 NW 20th Street, Miami, FL 33142, will be open on Presidents' Day from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., offering residents the opportunity to dispose of bulky trash items. Proof of City of Miami residency is required.
