The City Council is calling upon passionate individuals to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our vibrant city. We are seeking dedicated volunteers to serve on various Boards, Commissions, and Committees, essential to our community's growth and development.

Opportunities to Volunteer

City/County Drainage Board

The City/County Drainage Board acts as an advisory board to City Council and the Board of County Commissioners regarding subdivision codes and regulations relating to the drainage and control of flood and surface waters and administration of the subdivision Storm Water Drainage Funds

• Meeting Time - 2^nd Tuesday of every month at 2:00 p.m.
• Vacancy - One (1) Voting Member who is actively engaged in the construction and sale of housing

Fire Board of Appeals

The Fire Board of Appeals is established to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the fire code official or his/her designee relative to the application and interpretation of the currently adopted International Fire Code.

• Meeting Time - 2^nd Friday of every month at 8:30 a.m.
• Vacancy - One (1) Voting Member who is a licensed architect
• Apply by Friday, June 19, 2026
